Repost – Philip Chevron, A Man You Don’t Meet Everyday.

Two years ago today, Philip Chevron from The Pogues died of cancer of the head and neck.

On his birthday in June I wrote a long tribute to him which I am reposting to mark this sad occasion.

There isn’t a day that goes by that I don’t think about Philip in some way or another, sometimes his memory gives me the inspiration to carry on with something when I’ve lost all hope.

Philip was a unique and exceptional person who is missed by many fans throughout the world and he lives on in our hearts and minds.
